God's Providence

KTBS 3 reported that a busload of National Guardsmen returning from training exercises that taught them how to respond to roll overs with a number of them having been trained in triage were following the bus from First Baptist Shreveport when it had a blowout and rolled over. As tragic as it was, God's hand of providence was there by having them in the right place at the right time. And how about the churches who responded to help those in need there. And let's not forget the emergency responders. There are still good people in this world and God is still in control. Let's continue to pray for all involved.

  1. 22 years ago my father-in-law (a Baptist minister) had a heart attack while driving alone on Hwy 71 south of Bossier City. His car veered off into a field and came to a stop. In the 2 cars behind him were an off duty EMS fireman and and RN. They stayed with him until an ambulance arrived and then followed it to the hospital, where he passed away. It was a great comfort to his family to know that he had comfort in his last few minutes on earth.

  2. Jim, sorry to hear that about your father. You never know when God will send someone to minister to us. Thanks for sharing that. Darrell
